In 2003 the mayor of the village decided to build a tourist attraction, Slovak horologe. In 2005 the first part was finished and the village agreed to reconstruct other buildings in the center with the shape of traditional architecture, historically inspirited. After it’s finished, the Slovak horologe will be part of remarkable interest in the center (together with Bandit’s bastion, fountain and Bandit’s stone) but also it will be involved into the unique objects in Slovakia. This will be the first horologe in the whole of Slovakia because it will have all attributes, which are requested for horologe. |

 The village Stara Bystrica is still recorded by many of requests for allotting more flats for rent and therefore the village decided to build a new flat complex, whose basements are put near the area of primary school. After its finished, the village will have another eight flats. To respect traditional architecture of the village, traditional materials like stone and wood will be used for building. |

 In September the village has built a new multilevel pitch, which is financed by Government supports and Foundation SPP. A new pitch was built near the area of primary school and near the leisure center. There was synthetic grass put and also lamps to alight a pitch during nights. |

 The building of primary school was built in 1962 so it is 45 years old. During this time up to this day the huge amount of water was leaked into the building, which mainly caused an interior damage. This condition totally devaluated the building. The facade was rotted and fell off. Also windows were old and were replaced with the new ones with higher quality. |
